Roy can tell it's Edward at the door by the knocking. Well, pounding, and he can also easily predict what sort of mood the Fullmetal Alchemist is going to be in - the question is why. He takes a moment to run through the events of the last few days for a cause, perhaps a delayed reaction to a quip in a conversation that had flown over Edward's head previously. Coming up empty - he should probably brush up on that - he answers the door, eyebrow already quirked.

"I suppose I don't have to ask you what time it is?" he asks, no real trace of annoyance, just surprise.
